What is your current class year and major?

I am a senior with a double major in accounting and business with a concentration in finance and management.

Why did you choose to attend Gallaudet University?

I chose to attend Gallaudet University because it is the one and only Deaf university in the world. Gallaudet can provide me so many things; opportunities, communication access, friends and of course sports. I also love the atmosphere I am surrounded by in Washington, D.C.

What does it mean to you to be a member of Gallaudet athletics?

Being a member of Gallaudet athletics means a lot because it is so much more than a team. It is a close-knit family that is always there to support each other. Over the five years, it opened a lot of new doors for me being a student-athlete. I have learned confidence, gained my leadership skills, some of the most important life lessons and built an unbreakable connection with my teammate and coaches that will last us decades in life after Gallaudet.

If you could pick one favorite moment at Gallaudet, what would it be?

My favorite moment at Gallaudet University would be when I set the school record in the pole vault in April 2018.

What are your career aspirations or future goals?

After graduating, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain my master's degree in business administration (MBA). I hope to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and work for one of the four big accounting firms in the near future.

Are you involved in additional activities, clubs, etc. on campus outside of athletics?

I am a part of the Phi Kappa Zeta sorority, National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and in addition to athletics, I have also been involved in our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years where I have served as the President for two years. I was also on the Athletic Director search committee last spring.

Give us three words that best describe being a Division III student-athlete.

Committed, dedication, leadership

What is your pregame routine? Any superstitions?

My pregame routine is drinking a coffee to get me pumped up.

Share with us some of your favorites:

Food: Mexican food

Professional Team or Player: Kobe Bryant or Elena Delle Donne

Movie: Love & Basketball

Class at Gallaudet: Human Resources Management (HRM) with Hollie Fallstone

Finally, what makes you #NEACStrong?

I am #NEACStrong because I am able to manage with many responsibilities while at the same time being a student-athlete because I am proud to represent my school, the Deaf community, my teammates, my coaches and my mom.
