Sealts, Noncarrow Named NEAC Swimming & Diving Student-Athletes of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s and women’s swimming and diving for the week ending Nov. 18. This week’s awards go to student-athletes from Gallaudet University and SUNY Cobleskill.

Ben Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season. Of the five events won by Gallaudet, Sealts took first in three events in a non-conference loss to Marymount University. The Bison’s sophomore swimmer swam to a first-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:47.69. Sealts also won the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley with times of 56.26 and 2:06.89, respectively.

Katherine Noncarrow (Allendale, N.J.) from SUNY Cobleskill has been named the NEAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after the Fighting Tigers split a double-dual meet over the weekend. SUNY Cobleskill lost to the College of New Rochelle but defeated Old Westbury by a score of 106-13. The Fighting Tigers were led by the rookie swimmer who won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:17.70. Noncarrow also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly and breaststroke in 1:08.52 and 1:23.36, respectively.
