    Toby Welk was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft. Welk was the second Division III player to be taken in the 2019 draft. Right-handed pitcher Danny Cody of Baldwin Wallace University was selected in the 17th round by the Houston Astros.

    For the second year in a row, Toby Welk was named the D3baseball.com Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Year, while also earning All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honors. He is the only person in program history to earn Region Player of the Year honors, which he has now done twice. He is also the only member in program history to receive All-Region First Team honors, a feat he has now accomplished three years in a row.

    The Penn State Berks softball team suffered a pair of heartbreaking setbacks at the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon. Berks fell by a score of 3-2 to No. 10 ranked Ithaca College to start the day and then fell 2-0 in an elimination game against Brandeis University later in the day.

    The Penn State Berks baseball team kept its season alive with a pair of games on Saturday afternoon to advance to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship game on Sunday afternoon. Berks opened the day with a 4-2 victory over No. 1 seed Keuka College, followed by a 5-3 win over fifth seed Wells College.
