Keuka Sweeps NEAC Field Hockey Weekly Honors for a Second Time

LATHAM, N.Y. – Keuka College’s Taylor Lessard and Kassidy Valentine have been named North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Players of the Week in field hockey.

Taylor Lessard (Clay, N.Y.) was named Offensive Player of the Week. Lessardscored the lone goal for Keuka in a 4-1 loss to King’s (Pa.). The senior got on the scoresheet on her only shot of the game. The tally was Lessard’s first of 2019.

Kassidy Valentine (Glendora, Calif.) repeats as Defensive Player of the Week. The senior made 16 stops and posted a .800 save percentage in a 4-1 loss for Keuka against Ling’s (Pa.). The 16 saves are a season-high for Valentine. Valentine paces the NEAC in GAA at 3.40, goals allowed with 27 and is second in save percentage at .731.


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College. Associate members are: Alfred State (M Lacrosse), Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), College of Saint Elizabeth (M Tennis & M Volleyball), D’Youville College (W Lacrosse), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse), Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf), SUNY Potsdam (M Volleyball) and Wilson College (M Volleyball).
