Schlachter & Jaquith Pick Up NEAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Cazenovia’s Zach Schlachter and Wells’ Colton Jaquith as the men’s soccer Players of the Week for the week ending September 1. 

Zach Schlachter (Phoenix, N.Y.) picked up NEAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors. The junior registered 10 points on four goals and two assists as the Wildcats opened the 2019 campaign with two wins. Schlachter scored twice against Hilbert and Villa Maria and his two assists coming against Hilbert. 

Colton Jaquith (Niskayuna, N.Y.) was named NEAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore allowed one goal in a 1-1 opening weekend for Wells. The Niskayuna, New York native made seven saves in a 1-0 shutout win against Alfred State on Sunday. Jaquith recorded a 0.50 GAA, and a .900 save percentage over the opening weekend for the Express. 


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College.
