Penn State Berks Sweeps NEAC Tennis Weekly Awards

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Penn State Berks’ Diego Olazagasti and Erin Maloney as NEAC men’s and women’s tennis Players of the Week.

Diego Olazagasti (Exeter, Pa.) opened up his 2019-20 campaign with a pair of victories for the Nittany Lions. Olazagasti and Curtis Uhle won at No. 1 doubles 8-7 (7-5). Then at the top of the singles ladder, Olazagasti won the 8-7 (7-5) score.

Erin Maloney (Wyomissing, Pa.) started her collegiate career off with a pair of wins against Cabrini University. Maloney teamed with Nicole Meek for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles. The Wyomissing, Pennsylvania native then won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College. Associate members are: Alfred State (M Lacrosse), Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), College of Saint Elizabeth (M Tennis & M Volleyball), D’Youville College (W Lacrosse), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse), Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf), SUNY Potsdam (M Volleyball) and Wilson College (M Volleyball).
