McGuigan & Estrada Named NEAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Keuka College’s Emily McGuigan and Penn State Berks’ Leslie Estrada have been named North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) women’s soccer Players of the Week.

Emily McGuigan (Lusby, Md.) earns Offensive Player of the Week after tallying nine points and setting a pair of Keuka career records as the Wolves went 3-0. The senior broke the career record for goals with a brace on Wednesday in a 2-1 win over Alfred. McGuigan scored against both Gallaudet and Lancaster Bible and added an assist against Lancaster Bible over the weekend. The three points on Sunday broke the career points record. McGuigan now has 60 goals and 141 points for her career.

Leslie Estrada (Reading, Pa.) recorded three shutouts in three Penn State Berks’ wins last week and was named Defensive Player of the Week. The first-year Nittany Lion recorded seven saves in a 1-0 overtime win over ninth regionally ranked Scranton on Wednesday. Estrada then recorded shutouts of SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Poly. Estrada lowered her goals-against average to 1.39, which is fourth in the NEAC.
