Allen & Wolf Earn NEAC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Jackie Allen of Wells College and Sam Wolf from Morrisville State as the NEAC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.

Jackie Allen (Syracuse, N.Y.) picked up Player of the Week honors after helping the Express to a 2-1 week and set a career record and single-game program record. In a 3-2 win over SUNY Poly, Allen tallied a program-record 29 kills and added 21 digs. The senior became Wells’ all-time leader in kills with 1,037. Allen hit .333 against the Wildcats. Allen also recorded double-doubles against Penn State Harrisburg—16 kills and 15 digs—and Penn State Abington—24 kills and 17 digs. For the week, Allen tallied 5.31 kills/set, 4.08 digs/set, 5.8 points/set and hit .212. Allen also surpassed the 1,000-dig plateau for her career.

Sam Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) earns her fourth Defensive Player of the Week honor. The senior led Morrisville State defensively in a 2-0 weekend sweep of NEAC opponents to keep the Mustangs atop the league standings, as she collected a total 39 defensive digs, an average of 6.50 per set, while contributing a total seven assists and six service aces to the offensive efforts. In the 3-0 set sweep of Penn College, Wolf served up six aces, while accounting for a match total 14 digs, before following that performance with a 25-dig outing against Penn State Berks. In that match, she averaged 8.33 digs per set, while assisting five.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College.
