Penn State Harrisburg Takes Both NEAC Women's Volleyball Weekly Awards

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Penn State Harrisburg’s Brittany Ebaugh and Alexis Imler as the NEAC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.   

Brittany Ebaugh (Stewartstown, Pa.) earned Player of the Week after helping lead Penn State Harrisburg to three victories last week. The senior twice recorded double-digit kills with a hitting percentage over .400 and was also strong at the net, defensively. In a 3-1 win over Wilson on Wednesday, the middle blocker tallied 14 kills (.423) and recorded eight total blocks. She followed it up with nine kills and four digs in a five-set victory over Cedar Crest in the opening contest of a tri-match at Wilkes on Saturday before racking up 18 kills with a .571 hitting percentage to go along with four blocks and a dig in a 3-1 win against the hosts later in the day. For the week, Ebaugh averaged 3.15 kills, 0.92 blocks and 3.7 points per set to go along with a .378 hitting percentage.

Alexis Imler (Bedford, Pa.) was key in Penn State Harrisburg’s 3-0 week. The senior posted a pair of double-doubles and narrowly missed out on a third. In the team's 3-1 win over Wilson on Wednesday, the setter/hitter hybrid dug out nine balls and assisted on 14 points. The Bedford, Pa. native also added three blocks, a pair of kills and two service aces. Imler followed it up with 19 assists, 14 digs, five kills, and a block in a five-set victory over Cedar Crest in the first contest of a tri-match at Wilkes on Saturday before posting 22 digs, 18 assists, seven kills, two service aces and a block in the Lions' 3-1 win over the hosts in the nightcap. For the week, Imler averaged 3.92 assists, 3.46 digs and 1.08 kills per set.
